A Message from Jon:

Brief History

My family moved to Reston in 1970, my mother and Father bought a new townhome on Saffold Way to start their family in the new town they called Reston. I grew up mostly on Lake Anne Plaza as my mother shopped and met with friends there. I went to Forest Edge Elementary, Herndon Intermediate school and Herndon High. Reston is and always will be a part of me. I moved away to Carmel California after a graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia. 

In 1991, Fresh out of college with a degree in computer Science and psychology I opted to get my real estate license and I never looked back. It was before real estate had embraced computers, cell phones, or even fax machines. We had a listing book that came out once a week. Our office at Remax had a black and white copier and a non auto correct typewriter, luckily contracts were only 2  pages.  Learning from the masters Tommy Hopkins, Mike Ferry and Zig Ziglar,  I cut my real estate teeth knocking on doors, making cold calls, and spending countless hours on floor time and open houses. After some success, technology started to advance into the business. I was able to leverage my computer skills and soon I was cutting edge. Using my computer background, I was able to create innovative marketing material, print advertising and soon digital media long before it was in vogue. In 1999 I was approached by a real estate “mega Producer’”.  I joined the team taking on the marketing and sales to a 200+ million dollar producer, and that was just the beginning.
